On Friday, July 24 at 6PM, Tri Pi Sorority took Woodcrest University on an unforgettable plunge into fashion and fantasy with their spectacular runway event, “Beneath the Surface.” The fashion show, held in an ethereal setting that mimicked an enchanted underwater kingdom, was a dazzling celebration of aquatic beauty, mystery, and self-expression.
Under the direction of Stage Manager Lizzy Hunter, the event flowed seamlessly from start to finish. The glowing runway, bathed in soft pastel lighting and surrounded by whimsical ocean décor—drifting jellyfish , shimmering coral sculptures, and bubble effects—set the perfect tone for an evening that celebrated fashion in its most fluid and imaginative form.
The beats were masterfully handled by DJ Minky Vonfer, who kept the atmosphere pulsing with life, a mixture of music that gave the audience the sense of being deep beneath the waves.
But the true magic came from the eight stunning models who dared to make a splash:
Royce Bell Kinsley,
Smooches Kha Trueshot,
Latoya G. Quinn,
Bonni Starlight,
Griselda Martinez Longfall,
Chelsea Twilight Sky,
Abby Rowley, and
Twinkie.
Each model was tasked with creating four distinct fashion looks inspired by the underwater theme:
– Bikini – Playful and bold, this category showcased the models’ ability to blend swimwear with sea goddess glamour.
– Formal Wear – Evening gowns shimmered like moonlight on water, featuring iridescent fabrics, shell-inspired silhouettes, and graceful movement that mimicked waves.
– Lingerie – Mysterious and sensual, these looks embodied the quiet allure of the deep sea.
– Tri Pride – A powerful finale category where each model expressed the fierce pride and unity of the Tri Pi sorority, weaving their colors and symbols into fierce, sea-inspired couture.
From makeup and body paint to hair, jewelry, and accessories, every detail reflected the creativity and dedication of the models. Each look flowed into the next like currents in the ocean—distinct, yet beautifully connected by the show’s theme.
The audience was left in awe as the runway transformed into a living, breathing ocean of style. The models didn’t just walk the runway—they glided, danced, and shimmered, capturing the essence of aquatic movement and the strength of feminine power beneath the surface.
“Beneath the Surface” was more than a fashion show—it was an immersive experience, a celebration of identity, art, and community. Tri Pi reminded everyone that true beauty lies not only in how we look, but in how we shine beneath the waves.
