To the Woodcrest Community,
After some time away in Bolivia, I’m back on campus and grateful to return to the rhythms of university life, both in the newsroom and beyond. Stepping away, even briefly, offers perspective, and if there’s one thing I’ve been reminded, it’s how incredibly fortunate I am to have a dedicated and capable staff at The Beaver Pride.
While I was abroad, my team didn’t just keep the paper running. They ensured it thrived. From covering campus events to keeping our stories sharp and timely, they carried the torch with professionalism and passion. Our Assistant Editor Griselda Martinez-Longfall, along with the entire Beaver Pride staff, stepped up in every way, proving once again that this paper is more than just a publication: it’s a team effort built on commitment and community.
I return to my desk with immense gratitude, eager to dive back into the work we love. Thank you to my staff, our readers, and everyone who makes The Beaver Pride the voice of Woodcrest. There’s much to cover, and I look forward to another season of storytelling with you all.
