A Sigma Festive Feast to Remember

Article and photography by Loneleigh Resident

The brothers of Sigma Epsilon Chi threw a Festive Feast on December 2, transforming the Quad into an outdoor banquet hall fit for royalty. As the community gathered under the crisp winter sky, two endless rows of tables groaned under the weight of every Thanksgiving dish imaginable—turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pies galore. It was a scene straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. For a brief, shining moment, all was calm.

But then…the gravy hit the fan.

What began as a harmless flick of mashed potatoes escalated into a full-blown food fight, with guests and Sigma brothers alike hurling cranberry sauce grenades and turkey drumsticks like medieval warriors. Laughter rang out, and chaos reigned supreme as guests suddenly found themselves caught in the crossfire of this unexpected culinary battle.

Once the dust had settled, and the last pumpkin pie missile had been launched, the brothers of Sigma Epsilon Chi reclaimed the tables in style. Climbing onto the makeshift stages, they turned up the volume on Ginuwine’s “Pony” and began grinding to the beat. Spectators cheered, laughed, and questioned whether this was some sort of bizarre holiday tradition or simply Sigma doing what Sigma does best: turning the unexpected into the unforgettable.

Despite the unconventional ending, the Sigma Festive Feast lived up to its name, providing food, fun, and memories that will be retold over countless Nomino’s pizza slices. Whether it’s the camaraderie, the cranberry catapults, or the seductive table dancing, one thing’s for sure: Sigma Epsilon Chi knows how to host a feast!
