Q: What made you decide to go to Woodcrest?
A: In high school, I was on the varsity baseball team and actually had received Minor League offer. I initially wasn’t considering elite colleges, like Woodcrest, but my parents encouraged me to at least apply. I was shocked that I was accepted to Woodcrest and had a tough choice on attending college or pursuing my baseball dreams. Discussing it with my coaches, the consensus was I would probably top out at AAA ball, but it was a long shot for me to make the Major Leagues. After a long conversation with my parents, I decided that the Woodcrest opportunity was too good to pass up, so I hung up my spikes and decided to focus on my academic goals.
Q: What is the one thing that you love about Woodcrest?
A: Definitely the people. When I first started at Woodcrest, it was a transition from being big fish in a small pond, to small fish in a large pond, but Adam took me under his wing and recruited me to join DAM, and later into his band. Through both, I’ve met a lot of great people all over campus.
Q: What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far at Woodcrest?
A: Being able to push myself in my music and becoming a recording artist with two different bands now. I’m very happy with Iron Horse’s upcoming debut album that is coming out. But on a more personal note, getting the opportunity to be trusted to lead my fraternity has been a satisfying accomplishment.
Q: What would you consider your most embarrassing moment at Woodcrest?
A: Getting drunk under the table by Ember at the Winter Festival my freshman year. But to be fair, I had a head start on her.
Q: What is the one thing that you think people will remember you for in Woodcrest?
A: I hope I’m remembered as someone who is always ready to chip in and help my friends and to make Woodcrest a better place.
