Q: What made you decide to go to Woodcrest?
A: Well, I won a scholarship that was my only way here. I was poor at high school and my grades were low, but I could run like Forrest Gump so i was lucky. It was my dream to attend the university of my mother so it was an easy decision.

Q: What is the one thing that you love about Woodcrest?
A: I am from a very small town. I love the people and new faces i get to constantly meet. I feel the social part of university has opened up my personality, although at first i was scared. In 2024, I made a New Year’s Resolution to be more fun and outgoing and support the community as much as i could so I’m having fun here. Maybe not all like me but that’s all part of university.

Q: What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far at Woodcrest?
A: There are two. First, making Big Sister after a year of hard work. Although I’m a bit rebellious at times, I’m young with a lot to learn. DOE been so great helping me become a better person. Second, a huge achievement was my last Performing Arts show, as I think I am improving. I knew nothing about the Performing Arts for the first two months of the classes and they probably wondered why i even showed up. But, I learned so much. I suddenly took a chance and attempted to perform dancing on stage which was my dream, being trained by LK and Steph who are the best.

Q: What would you consider your most embarrassing moment at Woodcrest?
A: I am not sure i can mention it … giggles. Well, seriously though, I was embarrassed at a DOE initiation party when things went all wrong. But in the end, it ended so great. Also, it’s embarrassing when I make mistakes in dancing with the wrong outfit.

Q: What is the one thing that you think people will remember you for in Woodcrest?
A: They will remember me for my smile and friendly wave, which is my nature. Also, hopefully for my kindness, as I’m helpful and loyal to everyone i can be. Maybe they’ll remember me for being quiet, too. I can get shy in large crowds or even in a group of people.
