There’s a New Sheriff in Town
Woodcrest has a new sheriff, and his name is Jimmy Rousseau.
Following the investigation of the previous sheriff, whose whereabouts are currently unknown, the office was left without leadership. To ensure the safety and well-being of the community, Jimmy Rousseau has stepped in to take charge and restore stability to the Sheriff’s Office.
When asked for a statement, Sheriff Rousseau shared:
“I’m proud and happy to serve this community. I hope to be exemplary in my duties. Xander established solid paperwork and a good foundation for the Sheriff’s Office, but he was not fit for duty, as most of you know. I’ll do my best to make things right as your new sheriff.”
Even in his first days, Sheriff Rousseau has already shown his commitment to the people of Woodcrest by offering coffee and warm shelter at the Sheriff’s Office during this cold winter. That simple act speaks volumes about the kind of leader he aims to be.
Woodcrest is watching, and so far, the future looks steady and well-guarded.

Omega Psi Phi Returns to Co-Ed Status
Omega Psi Phi (OMEGA) is officially operating once again as a co-educational organization. Yes, you heard that right. OMEGA is back to being co-ed!
On Tuesday, February 10, they celebrated this milestone with their pledges and the Woodcrest University community by hosting a Pop Punk Pizza Party in the basement of the Omega Psi Phi house. The night was fueled with great music provided by the amazing Panda Lazlo, along with plenty of pizza and high-energy vibes.
This event marked more than just a party. It was a statement of growth, inclusion, and fresh beginnings for OMEGA.
I couldn’t be happier for them and their achievement, and it’s exciting to see what’s next for Omega Psi Phi at Woodcrest University.
Woodcrest Kicks Off Relay for Life in a Big Way
On Saturday, February 7, Woodcrest launched its Relay for Life kickoff with an unforgettable bang. For five and a half straight hours, the campus was filled with nonstop music, dancing, and powerful community spirit. By the end of the night, an amazing L$16,350 had been raised in donations, and Woodcrest proudly earned its first-ever Bronze Badge for Relay for Life fundraising. That milestone alone speaks volumes about what this community can do when it comes together.
The Woodcrest RFL Captain stated: “Every single one of you showed up in the best way possible. From the DJs and bands who absolutely rocked the stage and our souls, to the students, faculty, and guests who donated, laughed, danced, and kept the energy high from start to finish, you made this moment happen. The event wasn’t just a concert. It was a celebration of hope, resilience, and collective purpose.”
The love, the energy, and the generosity in the room were impossible to ignore. You could feel it in every song, every cheer, and every contribution. This kickoff wasn’t just the start of a fundraiser. It was the start of a season of awareness, action, and impact for Relay for Life at Woodcrest.
I couldn’t be prouder of this community. You showed up with open hearts and unstoppable spirit.
You are incredible, Woodcrest.
