Day 4 of RUSH Week shifted gears into something softer and more meaningful with a theme centered on Unity. Instead of individual house events, every Greek house came together to show solidarity and support for one another. Members arrived wearing the colors of all the houses. Light blue, purple, gunmetal grey, pink, black, and dark blue. Creating a vibrant display of campus wide connection.

Each house booth, normally decorated in single house themes during RUSH, transformed for the night. Displays blended all Greek colors, symbolizing harmony among the sororities and fraternities. It was a rare moment where competition took a step back and collaboration stepped fully into the spotlight.

To carry the theme forward, Woodcrest University hosted a massive All-Nighter Movie Night in the school gym, the central hub for RUSH activities. The event organizers created a cozy atmosphere by placing blankets, pillows, and a mountain of snacks in the middle of the surrounding house booths, turning the gym into a sprawling communal living room. A huge projection screen dominated the space and the movie marathon kicked off.

The lineup featured a mix of beloved holiday classics and a big blockbuster hit. Elf, Ricky Stanicky, Christmas Vacation, and Red One. Students settled in wearing comfy pajamas, fluffy socks, or their favorite Christmas sweaters, instantly adding to the warmth and charm of the night. Laughter echoed as everyone reacted to their favorite scenes, quoted memorable lines, and shared inside jokes. Even during the more chaotic or sentimental moments in the films, people whispered comments to each other and giggled, keeping the atmosphere light and friendly.

What surprised many was just how many students stayed for the entire four movie marathon. Nearly the whole crowd made it through all the films, proof that Woodcrest had been craving a relaxed, collective moment in the midst of the busy RUSH schedule. Between the sugar rush from snacks, the comfortable setup, and the easy going vibe, leaving simply didn’t feel like an option for most.

As the final movie wrapped up and the lights brightened, students gathered their blankets and empty snack bags, still chatting about their favorite moments from the night. Bellies were full, moods were high, and the sense of campus unity lingered long after the screen went dark.

RUSH Day 4 succeeded not through spectacle or competition, but through togetherness. The Unity Movie Night brought the entire Greek system under one roof in the simplest and sweetest way possible, reminding everyone of what RUSH Week is really about…community.
