Woodcrest University was buzzing with energy this past Saturday as the Tri Pi Fall Frenzy Scavenger Hunt kicked off, marking a major milestone for pledges Kylie Reed, Aly Varrington, and Avery Solace on their journey toward sisterhood. The trio organized the entire event as part of their pledge tasks, and the result was a lively, campus wide adventure that brought students and community members together for a night of fun, teamwork, and autumn vibes.

Participants gathered at the staging area which was placed in front of the Unicorn Boba Shop, where DJ Minky set the tone with upbeat music that had everyone dancing, laughing, and warming up for the challenge ahead. A lineup of food trucks added to the festive atmosphere, offering hot cocoa, donuts, tacos, nachos, sodas and more. Perfect fuel for both competitors and supporters. Friends, classmates, and Tri Pi sisters filled the area, cheering on players as the scavenger hunt began.

The challenge sent players weaving across campus and into town hunting down special leaves placed by the pledges. Each leaf included a clue leading to the next location along with a unique codeword. Hunters had to stay sharp, think creatively, and collect every code to complete the course successfully. The pledges didn’t leave participants stranded though, along the path, they set up small help desks staffed by Tri Pi sisters ready to offer guidance if anyone got stuck.

As the the competition heated up, excitement built around who would complete the trail first. The final clue led players back to the staging area, where a crowd waited to welcome them with cheers and music as they sprinted to the finish. After a fast paced race, the top three winners emerged.

First place went to Nate Vosse, second place to Devin Montgomery, and third place to Abby Rowley. Each winner earned well deserved prize and bragging rights for conquering the Fall Frenzy.

Even after the winners were announced, students stuck around to enjoy the chill, cozy atmosphere. Music played, people grabbed one more cup of cocoa or a plate of nachos, and everyone shared their favorite moments from the hunt. Laughter, teamwork, and community spirit marked the evening, making it one of the semester’s standout events.
