On Thursday, October 16, the University Quad buzzed with energy as students, faculty, and community members gathered for the Campaign Party for All Candidates—an event designed to give the Woodcrest University community a closer look at those vying for the position of Student Body President.
This year’s race features three diverse candidates: Lazlo Hunter, known for his policy-driven approach and focus on academic reform; Lil Kitten Diavala Pierce, the charismatic candidate with a bold, memorable personality and flair for connecting with students; and Xander Bell, a grassroots community advocate dedicated to student welfare and inclusivity.
While all three were invited, only Hunter and Pierce made appearances—each setting up eye-catching tents complete with campaign materials, giveaways, and refreshments. Both candidates enthusiastically greeted attendees, fielded questions, and shared their visions for the future of Woodcrest University.
The crowd reflected a mix of excitement and curiosity. Many supporters proudly sported campaign buttons, waved handmade signs, or cheered loudly for their favorite candidate. Others lingered between the booths, listening carefully and taking mental notes as they weighed their options.
Even without all three candidates present, the event succeeded in generating interest and sparking conversation about the upcoming election. “It’s great to see everyone so involved,” said one student observer. “I’m still undecided, but events like this help me understand who really cares about what matters most to us.”
As campaign season kicks into full swing, organizers encourage all students to take the time to get informed before casting their votes. Each candidate brings unique ideas and leadership styles to the table, and informed voting will be key in shaping the next chapter of student life at Woodcrest.
For those still on the fence, there’s another opportunity to hear directly from the candidates. The Presidential Debate will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Woodcrest Theater. It promises to be an engaging and insightful discussion that could very well determine who becomes Woodcrest University’s next Student Body President.
