Friday night at the DAM house was everything a kegger should be: loud, crowded, and unforgettable. DJ Guinness kept the crowd alive with back-to-back mixes, students packed every corner of the lawn, and the bass rattled windows halfway down the block. But while the music was fire, the real story of the night was the drama.
Zelda Vermilion Sempier, TAO’s razor-sharp VP, wasn’t expecting to be blindsided by a ghost from her past. The so-called “fresh new face” wasn’t fresh to Zelda at all, rumor has it the two share a messy history that had been buried until now. When the newcomer showed up in the thick of the DAM crowd, sparks flew. What started as a side-eye turned into a heated exchange near the keg line, drawing plenty of curious onlookers. Nobody’s saying exactly what went down between them, but by the way Zelda stormed off, it’s clear the past isn’t as far behind as she’d hoped.
Meanwhile, the BAD pledges weren’t about to let the spotlight slip away. Rolling in with coordinated fits and fearless energy, they showed out on the dance floor, carving out circles and pulling cheers with every stunt. If this was an early test of their loyalty and confidence, they passed with flying colors.
By the time the taps were sputtering and the lawn was littered with cups, the DAM house had once again written itself into campus legend. For everyone else, it was just another wild Friday…but for a select few it was life changing.
