There’s a new class on campus turning heads .. and starting debates. Cyberlaw, taught by Professor Saudade Morningstar, dives into the legal and ethical issues behind today’s tech.
During the last class, Morningstar asked one question that lit up the room:
“If AI can create a masterpiece in seconds, who owns it..the AI, the user, or the artist who inspired it?”
That question launched a lively debate. Some students argued AI is a great tool that gives everyone creative power. Others worried it steals from real artists without credit or payment.
The hottest topic? Should original artists be allowed to set the price for using their work when AI is involved?
Yes: Artists should control and profit from their creations.
No: Once art is public, it’s fair game.
Maybe: We need a new system, like AI royalties.
Professor Morningstar says these aren’t just classroom hypotheticals, they’re real issues the world is facing now. Future lawyers, developers, and creators will have to figure it out.
Cyberlaw isn’t just another class. It’s a peek into the future..and for many students, it’s already the most thought-provoking class on campus.
