Woodcrest University is stepping into rhythm and grace with the launch of its brand new Ballet Club, taught by the talented Giselle Ellan. Held in a building by the quad, the first session was a clear success, drawing in a large number of eager students ready to try something new.
From the moment students arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Dressed in traditional ballet attire, participants looked the part as they stretched, practiced, and prepared to move. The class began with a series of gentle stretching exercises, designed to loosen muscles and focus attention. Giselle guided everyone through each move with patience and encouragement, making sure beginners and those with some prior experience all felt welcome.
Once warmed up, the class shifted into learning the fundamentals of ballet. Giselle introduced the different ballet positions, demonstrating proper form and offering helpful corrections along the way. Students quickly picked up on the elegant stances, practicing diligently and encouraging one another as they moved across the floor.
To close the session, Giselle surprised the group with a short dance she had choreographed especially for the class. The combination brought together the positions they had just learned, allowing everyone to immediately put their practice into motion. The result was not only fun but inspiring. Students left the studio smiling, chatting, and already looking forward to the next meeting.
Whether students come with a background in dance or simply a curiosity to learn, the club offers a creative outlet, a chance to stay active, and an opportunity to connect with others who share a love for movement and music. Thanks to Giselle Ellan’s passion for dance and her ability to teach with clarity and warmth, the program has already captured the hearts of many. Judging by the turnout and energy at the first class, the Ballet Club is set to leap forward as one of the most exciting new additions to campus life.
