Welcome to Woodcrest’s Newest Brotherhood: Meet the BAD Boys of Beta Alpha Delta

Submitted by: Griselda Martinez Longfall

Hello Woodcrest! If you haven’t heard the buzz yet, let us be the first to tell you—we’ve got a brand-new fraternity in town! That’s right, please give a warm welcome to Beta Alpha Delta, or as they like to be called, BAD.

To get the inside scoop, I reached out to the president of , Stiles Montgomery, who gave us an honest and heartfelt look at how BAD came to life and what it stands for.

When and where was your fraternity founded?
Stiles: Beta Alpha Delta was officially founded on July 20, 2025, right here at Woodcrest University. It all started with me and a few close brothers—Xavier Montgomery, Haruto Ono, Timofey Novak, and Tsukiya Ezouki.

What inspired the creation of your chapter?
Stiles: When I first joined the Greek community, it took me some time to find where I belonged. I started in DAM, but realized it wasn’t the right fit, then became Social Chair at Sigma for almost a year. My husband Xavier and I eventually felt it was time to move on.

I had this dream of starting my own fraternity, so I ran the idea by Xavier—and he was in. From there, the vision started to take shape.

What sets BAD apart from other fraternities?
Stiles: We wanted a place for the guys who didn’t quite fit the usual mold—the nerds, the outcasts, the misfits. The ones who’ve faced bullies, trauma, and just want a real brotherhood without expectations or pressure.

BAD is for the “rejects” with hearts of gold, the ones who want respect, freedom, and true support. That’s how the BAD boys were born.

How do you ensure inclusivity and diversity within your chapter?
Stiles: We welcome anyone who just wants a home and a family. We’re totally against bullying in any form. We’re a little mischievous, yeah—but we’ve got each other’s backs.

Honestly, I like to think of BAD as a halfway house fraternity—a final shot at belonging, with brothers who lift each other up.

How can someone apply to join BAD?
Stiles: Like the other frats, we’ve got an application. But if someone’s interested, they can always talk to any Council member to get the process started and set up an interview.

How do you stay connected with campus and the local community?
Stiles: You’ll see us hosting more interactive events, not just the typical dance parties. We’re planning to team up with other frats too—expect to see events like DAM x BAD and Sigma x BAD, maybe even a triple threat!

We’re also committed to showing up for any charity or community event we can support.

So there you have it, Woodcrest—BAD is here, and they’re changing the game. Whether you’re a misfit, a dreamer, or just looking for somewhere to belong, Beta Alpha Delta might be exactly what you need.

Stay tuned for their upcoming events—you won’t want to miss the BAD boys in action.
