Woodcrest University’s DAM Greek house turned up the volume and the eyeliner on Monday, May 19, as they hosted an unforgettable Emo Day party in true throwback style. The event took place right on the front yard of the DAM house, where students showed up dressed in their darkest, most dramatic emo looks, complete with fishnets, studded belts, and heavy eyeliner.
DJ Guinness kept the crowd pumped with a steady stream of iconic emo tracks, making it impossible not to sing along. The yard was filled with energy, laughter, and a touch of emotional angst, all fueled by an abundance of drinks and comfort food.
The event was going strong until the volume and vibes drew a little too much attention. Several noise complaints prompted a visit from local Police Department officers Oshiro and Vonfer. They arrived on the scene but thankfully made no arrests. After a short talk with the party organizers, things began to wind down, and the night ended peacefully.
DAM has certainly cemented its reputation for throwing some of the most memorable parties on campus. Here’s hoping next time, they can keep the same emo energy just a little quieter.
