The grand opening of The Juice Box wasn’t just an event…it was a vibe. From the moment I walked in, excitedly calling out “Grand Opening!!” to snapping photos and scribbling notes, the energy was electric and the fruit-themed flair was on full blast.
Located just steps from the beach, The Juice Box combines hangout charm with a healthy twist. DJ Tocho Winchester kept the beats bouncing while a colorful crowd danced, laughed, and sampled everything from smoothies to fruit kabobs. Whether you were sipping something with mango and chili (like Yazmina Susaan) or just vibing by the fire pit, there was a place for everyone.
Owner Eli St. Clair, who greeted guests with a warm smile and complimented pink boots, gave me a quick tour: “We’ve got fresh salads, wraps, desserts that are healthy-ish,” she joked, “and juices you can customize or grab on the go. The salad bar is self-serve and we’re working toward offering pickups in the future.”
It wasn’t just the food that impressed…it was the community. Familiar faces like Allie Desiree, Lynnox Everlyn McGregor, Loneleigh Resident, and Peter Parker Winchester stopped by to mingle, while others danced, cracked jokes, or praised JT Young, the life-sized dancing banana mascot (who may or may not be up for a banana split).
And yes, there were even kabobs. Free ones.
As I wrapped up my notes, I found myself genuinely smiling. The Juice Box isn’t just a place to get a smoothie — it’s a place to belong. Here’s hoping this fruity little hotspot continues to shake things up all semester long.
Stay juicy, Woodcrest.
