Every RUSH welcomes new brothers and sisters to the local Greek community, be it through recruiting new potentials, or showcasing freshly initiated members of the house. There is dancing, socializing, partying, getting to know one another, and maybe making new friendships along the way.
One thing that every pledge looks forward to before RUSH, however, is the initiation. Every house does their initiation in a different way, bringing in the pledges who worked hard to get their brother or sister title, and afterwards, there is always a party to celebrate those new members of the Greek house.
Spring RUSH was given the opportunity on April 4, 2025 to attend the Sigma Epsilon Chi Initiation Soiree for new brothers Key Blackburn, Rhys Davies, Kurt Burkett, and Toby Quicksand. The setting was regal with the Sigma brothers dressed in refined Princely attire and crowns. Stiles Winchester, the Sigma Social Chair crowned the new brothers before a crowd of RUSH attendees to honor not only the hard work they had done, but also bonds they had forged within the brotherhood.
Even with Key unable to attend the event, he was still honored by all, and Rhys was brought forth as the new Co-Social Chair to work along side Stiles. The festivities were a night to remember as everyone dressed up, danced and enjoyed the music spun by Sigma brother Cassian Thorne. This is only the second of many initiation parties planned for future RUSH events by the Sigma boys, all just as regal.
