Graveyard Opens with a Bang: A Review of Music Session #1

Article and photography by Mandie Romano

The Graveyard, the newest addition to the nightlife scene, made a bold entrance on April 12th, 2025, with its inaugural “Music Session #1” featuring DJ Seven. And let me tell you, this club lives up to its name in the best possible way.

The opening night theme was “wear all black,” and the crowd certainly delivered, creating a cohesive and stylish atmosphere. Stepping inside is like entering another world. The initial darkness is definitely a deliberate choice, adding to the club’s mystique. Once your eyes adjust, however, the morbidly delightful details begin to emerge. The coffin-shaped seating area is a clever touch, and I appreciated the subtle, thematic decorations scattered throughout the space.

The DJ setup was well-designed and visually appealing, a clear statement of the club’s commitment to a quality audio experience. And speaking of quality, DJ Seven absolutely crushed it. His brand of techno dance music was infectious and kept the energy high all night long. The dance floor was packed with people losing themselves in the music, a testament to DJ Seven’s skills behind the decks.

Thankfully, The Graveyard understands the importance of hydration (or lubrication, depending on your preference!). The small bar was efficient and kept the drinks flowing, ensuring everyone could keep the party going.

Located on the corner of Main Street and Sea Winds Avenue, The Graveyard is easily accessible and poised to become a staple in the local nightlife scene. If you’re looking for a unique club experience with a dark aesthetic, killer music, and a lively atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out The Graveyard. Music Session #1 was a fantastic start, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the future. Just remember to wear black!
