On Monday, March 31, at the stroke of 4 p.m., the University Greenhouse bloomed with more than just botany; it brimmed with sisterhood, ceremony, and the scent of spring’s first promises. In a celebration fit for the season’s awakening, the women of Tri Pi gathered beneath panes of glass and streams of sun for a lush and lovingly crafted initiation party, welcoming their newest sisters, Roro de la Rosa and Hecate de la Rosa.
Roro and Hecate were visions of springtime grace, dressed in airy gowns the color of pink rose petals, moving through the greenhouse like petals caught in a gentle breeze. Every glance, every soft smile they exchanged with their sisters radiated with the quiet beauty of belonging.
The theme, Blush and Bloom, unfurled like a floral sonnet. Soft pink linens draped over repurposed potting benches, delicate paper roses floated like chandeliers from overhead trellises, and vases overflowed with peonies, ranunculus and garden roses at every turn. Bouquets of color spilled across every corner, coaxed to life by the hands of sisters who had gathered early to arrange them. The scent of damp soil danced with notes of rosewater and sweet citrus, all mingled with the ever-present sound of laughter echoing off glass and greenery. For those two golden hours, the greenhouse became a sanctuary not just of growth, but of intention and unity.
As the sun dipped lower and cast petal-shaped shadows across the flagstone floor, the formalities gave way to celebration. Cameras clicked, arms wrapped around shoulders, music floated from a vintage speaker tucked between rows of potted ferns, and the laughter only grew louder. Within that sun-drenched haven, new bonds blossomed: delicate, fierce and ready to take root.
