Dear Bestie,
My Boyfriend is not really that romantic and takes a long time to make decisions. When we are together, he is very attentive, but sometimes a girl just likes to be shown that she is being thought of outside of that. Is there anything I can do to let him know that’s what I want without seeming selfish?

Dear Needing,
First off girl I’ve been there! Sometimes men are what I like to call emotionally blind. They don’t see the world the same as the women in their lives and it can be hard. But honesty is always the best policy when you’re looking for change. Tell him that you love how attentive he is when you’re together, but that you’d like it if he came up with little dates for y’all to do. Tell him you want more romance. Sometimes guys need it spelled out for them. No offense to our male readers, but most will even agree with me. You are never being selfish when your needs aren’t being met, sometimes the best relationships just need a little more communication.
Love always,
Bestie
