Tri Pi’s High-Energy Pi Day Celebration

Article by Griselda Martinez-Longfall with photography by Lizzy Winchester

Pi Day, celebrated annually on March 14 (3/14), honors the mathematical constant pi (π), the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately 3.14159. However, at Woodcrest University, Pi Day holds a whole different meaning. Tri Pi, a sorority at Woodcrest, celebrates the day as a nod to its name. This year, they hosted yet another exciting Pi Day event.

The celebration kicked off with an electrifying dance performance by none other than the Tri Pi Dancers, with Minky as the DJ for this part of the event. Their high-energy performance ignited the crowd, creating an atmosphere of excitement. After the well-choreographed routine, the party moved to the beach, where Lazlo took over as DJ, setting the perfect vibe with his music.

Beyond dancing to the incredible beats, attendees enjoyed food, drinks, and great conversations. They also had the chance to take a dip in the water and relax on the various floats available.

Another successful Pi Day celebration is in the books—here’s to many more to come!
