If you don’t know who she is, let me introduce you. Her name is Vitoria P., but she goes by Vivi. If you ever spot her around campus, she’s most likely accompanied by her beloved pet pig, Art.
Vivi vlogs about her life as a student at Woodcrest University. She has showcased dorm life, giving viewers a glimpse of the amenities and her own room. She also covered an event called DAM Con, hosted by the brothers of the DAM house.
I caught up with her to ask a few questions about her YouTube channel. My first question was, “What made you decide to vlog?” She responded, “I’m a creative person who grew up watching YouTubers. I decided to create my first video just to see if it was fun. I was a bit insecure about posting it, but the recording process was so enjoyable that I knew I had to do it again.”
I could tell she was truly creative, but I wanted to know more. So, I asked my next question: “How do you come up with such creative ideas?” She thought for a moment before answering, “Honestly, the next idea usually comes while I’m still recording. I’ll be doing something specific, or someone will say something that sparks inspiration. The process is very natural.”
Since I know nothing about creating a successful video, I was curious about the effort behind it. So, I asked her my final question: “Is it a lot of work putting the videos together?” She answered without hesitation, “It’s a little bit of work. A normal vlog takes me about three days to record and around two days to edit—if I’m fast enough. Some projects take longer, depending on how ambitious they are. Short videos are more manageable.”
