Ingredients:
– 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
– 1/4 cup white sugar (more or less to taste)
– 2 cups heavy whipping cream
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 (16-ounce) package of shortcake biscuits or sponge cakes
– Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
1. Gather your ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and white sugar. Toss gently and let them sit for about 30 minutes to release their juices.
2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form.
