Letter From the Editor: Reporting From Afar

Dear Readers,

Though I find myself far from Woodcrest, The Beaver Pride remains as steadfast as ever. Our dedicated staff continues to bring you the latest from campus and the community, ensuring our weekly publication stays on schedule. Business discussions have shifted to Discord, allowing us to coordinate seamlessly while keeping our reporting sharp and our commitment unwavering.

As much as I miss Woodcrest, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of a lifetime: an internship at Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba. I’ve been working alongside an incredible team on an afforestation crusade, uncovering key insights into municipal involvement, seedling acclimatization, and sustainable irrigation methods. The university has been exploring low-cost solutions by implementing drip irrigation using recycled plastic bottles and complementary materials.

Even from abroad, my heart remains with Woodcrest, and I look forward to sharing more about this experience in the coming weeks. Until then, keep an eye on The Beaver Pride for the latest stories, and as always, thank you for reading.

Warm regards,
Loneleigh Resident
