Tri Pi on Ice

On Sunday, December 1, 2024, Tri Pi kicked off Rush Week with their much-anticipated “Tri Pi on Ice” skating event. The evening was a perfect blend of fun, music, and camaraderie, drawing students and community members alike to celebrate the start of an exciting week.

As I approached the snow-covered, great white gazebo that served as the centerpiece for the event, I couldn’t help but admire the festive scene. The gazebo was encircled by a gleaming, freshly iced skating rink, its surface sparkling under the twinkling lights strung above. A cheerful hum of activity filled the air as attendees bustled about, bundled in their warm coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Many had gone the extra mile, arriving in stylish and eye-catching ski wear that added a fashionable flair to the wintry gathering.

For those who preferred not to skate, there were plenty of ways to enjoy the evening. Some stood on the sidelines, their hands wrapped around steaming mugs of hot cocoa or coffee, watching the skaters glide across the ice. Others grabbed their partner’s hand and danced together, creating impromptu choreography to the lively music that filled the air. The atmosphere was electric, with laughter and cheerful chatter resonating throughout the venue.

Adding to the event’s excitement was a special guest DJ, Iva Ivanovic, who brought an incredible energy to the rink. Known for her dynamic playlists and infectious beats, Iva played some of the hottest tunes, keeping spirits high and encouraging even the shyest attendees to join in the fun. The music ranged from classic holiday hits to contemporary dance tracks, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

“Tri Pi on Ice” wasn’t just an event—it was an experience that brought people together. The joy and camaraderie shared that night set the tone for the busy and thrilling Rush Week ahead. Whether skating hand-in-hand with friends, sipping on a warm drink, or simply soaking in the festive ambiance, everyone who attended left with cherished memories and a sense of connection to the Tri Pi community.
