Bravo to the talented choreographers and dancers of this semester’s Performance Arts Class! On December 7th, the football field transformed into a vibrant stage as students showcased their hard work during the much-anticipated Greek Rush event. From start to finish, the evening was a delightful display of creativity, energy, and holiday cheer that left the audience thoroughly impressed.
The showcase opened with “Cleo,” an engaging number choreographed by Stephanie Mesmeriser. Right from the beginning, it was clear that the performers were ready to deliver an unforgettable experience. Stephanie’s choreography set the tone for the evening, demonstrating her keen sense of rhythm and storytelling through movement.
As the night progressed, each performance was met with enthusiastic applause, especially the group piece titled “Ho Ho Ho,” cleverly choreographed by Lil Kitten Diavala to close the show on a festive note. It was fantastic to see how both Stephanie and Lil Kitten deeply invested themselves into every aspect of the performances, bringing the class together to embody the spirit of collaboration and creativity. Their involvement didn’t stop there; Stephanie also choreographed a hauntingly beautiful piece called “Desires,” while Lil Kitten wowed the audience with her inventive routines for “Bloody Mary,” “Faded,” and an unforgettable rendition of “Lady Marmalade.”
One standout moment came from Laci Rossini, who not only exhibited her dance prowess in numbers like “We’re All in This Together” and “Nightmares,” but also showcased her versatility as a musician with her keyboard skills for the band, Ironhorse. Laci’s ability to blend dance and music added layers of depth to her performances and highlighted her multifaceted talents.
Chelsea Heavenly Sempier brought her unique energy and radiance to the stage with her captivating performances of “I’ll Be There” and “Dare.” Her passion was infectious and truly elevated the atmosphere, making it impossible for the audience not to be entranced by her presence.
Allie Desiree’s performance of “Expresso” was nothing short of mesmerizing. Her grace and elegance spoke volumes, proving that her experience in performance arts was an asset that shone brightly on stage. Lexi Skydancer’s upbeat number “I’d Rather Be Me” exuded an undeniable charm, filled with lively tempo and enthusiasm, further emphasizing the dynamic range of styles within the showcase.
Lastly, Disney Maddox took everyone by surprise with her captivating ABBA medley. Her unique flair and refreshing approach to choreography enhanced the performance, inspiring audience members to bounce in their seats and get lost in the music. Disney’s ability to connect with the audience through her opening movements was a highlight of the evening.
