Letter from the Editor: Celebrating BP Staff

Dear Readers,

In the gentle bustle of our campus, friendships are the golden threads that weave our days together. Whether forged in the glow of a late-night study session, the energy of a team practice, or the quiet moments between classes, these connections are the heart of our Woodcrest experience.

When I first arrived here, I felt incredibly lonely, like an outsider wandering through a sea of people already connected. Searching for a place to belong, I sought out The Beaver Pride. What I found was more than just a platform for my voice—it was a community. My staff, a group of some of the most dedicated and talented individuals on campus, has become like a family to me. Together, we navigate tight deadlines, brainstorm ideas, and ensure every issue reflects the heart of Woodcrest.

What makes The Beaver Pride team truly extraordinary is the way we have each other’s backs, no matter what. From late-night editing marathons to last-minute photo submissions, we face every challenge as a team, supporting one another through it all. They inspire me every day, not just with their creativity and work ethic, but with their unwavering kindness and camaraderie. It’s through them that I’ve learned what it truly means to belong.

As the semester crescendos toward its close and the chill of late autumn settles around us, let us take the next two weeks to honor and celebrate the bonds that make our community extraordinary. Gather your friends, old and new, and share a coffee, a laugh, or simply a moment to express your gratitude for their presence.

The beauty of friendship is its ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Let’s amplify that magic across our campus with small acts of kindness, thoughtful gestures, and celebrations of togetherness. After all, in these bonds lies the true spirit of Woodcrest: one of unity, support, and shared dreams.

Here’s to the joy of friendship and the promise of its enduring warmth during these chilly November days.

Yours in gratitude and camaraderie,

Loneleigh
