At The Beaver Pride, we strive to cover all the exciting events happening across campus and beyond. To ensure our presence is known at events, assigned staff members wear their Beaver Pride tags, which signal to organizers that we’re there to capture the highlights. Please note that we do not cover recurring monthly events if they’ve already been featured in our paper—for example, our monthly Bring Your Own Book event. Also, we do not cover events that are not sim-wide.
If you don’t spot a staff reporter or photographer at your sim-wide event, we encourage you to step in! Send the event details and photos to me or to our Assistant Editor, Griselda Martinez-Longfall. Please remember to credit the photographer if the photos are not your own.
As a community newspaper, we invite you to take it a step further by trying your hand at guest reporting. Write a short article (no more than 500 words) covering the sim-wide event, and submit it for review. All submissions will be subject to editorial approval by our team.
