Q: What made you decide to go to Woodcrest?
A: Sometimes we have plans, but life decides to put us somewhere else. That’s how I landed in Woodcrest. I wasn’t planning on staying here, but met a girl, Vaylinn, and she was so sweet. She showed me around and was my first friend here. So, I guess I wasn’t planning on staying, but found all the correct reasons to do it.
Q: What is the one thing that you love about Woodcrest?
A: The sense of community and the way everyone is engaged and willing to help each other. Woodcrest is like this huge family. We might have problems and don’t always like each other, but if someone has a problem, you know they will be here for you. That’s something you don’t always find. It is special, this whole place is special.
Q: What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far at Woodcrest?
A: Having people take the risk and open themselves up at the open mic nights. It takes a lot of courage to just bare naked your soul in front of strangers and share something that is so important for you. Nevermore being a safe place, a place where people could go and express themselves? That’s my biggest accomplishment.
Q: What would you consider your most embarrassing moment at Woodcrest?
A: I used to be super in love with someone here, and I chased him for months, trying to get him to notice me and give me a chance. He never did it, but when I think about all the plans and all the things I did to make him realize I was here, existing and dying for him, whelp! I kind of die a bit inside.
Q: What is the one thing that you think people will remember you for in Woodcrest?
A: I don’t know if people will remember honestly. I don’t think I did anything special or unique for it to be that way. But, if someone remembers me, I hope they smile when they do!
