On Sunday, August 25, at 6 p.m., The Sweet Spot held its grand opening! As you approached the store, you could see the road was blocked off for a lively block party. The area was adorned with bright, eye-catching colors, plenty of chairs and tables for enjoying the treats, and a DJ booth where DJ Laci was spinning some great tunes.
Mandie, the owner of The Sweet Spot, did an excellent job ensuring there was a variety of delicious desserts available for tasting. Among the treats, the pies and cupcakes were the biggest hits. There was so much excitement that a local bookstore even inquired about having daily deliveries for their customers. From the buzz, it seems this bakery might become a new favorite hangout and meetup spot for many.
While everyone was enjoying themselves, The Loneleigh Petal distributed free flowers and plants to lucky winners who came out to support Mandie and her bakery. Among the winners were yours truly, Gris, along with Nap, Nicki, Lazlo, Jiho, Ann, Peyton, and, last but not least, Jae!
As the evening progressed, guests were introduced to a cupcake named JT. With his savvy demeanor and great vibe, JT had everyone in awe. I must say, he could easily be the Next Top Cupcake Model—if that isn’t already a thing, it should be! The grand opening was a fun and successful event!
