Hello fellow Beavers! It’s that time again! Summer is waning and soon Fall will be upon us. As the temperatures here in Woodcrest start to dip, here’s a simple and easy recipe for those soon-to-be chilly nights. Warm up with some dorm room chili mac!
Ingredients:
1 (7.25 ounce) package macaroni and cheese mix
¼ cup margarine, cut into pieces
¼ cup milk
1 (14 ounce) can hot dog chili
¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or cheese of choice
Preparation:
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 7 to 8 minutes.
Drain macaroni and return to the pan. Add margarine, milk, and cheese sauce packet; mix well. Stir in canned chili and cook over medium heat until hot.
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese to serve.
If you’re looking to spice this up a little, throw some jalapeños on top! I hope this recipe warms you up and keeps you well-fed in the cold months ahead!
