Spring Wellness

This year the first day of Spring was Tuesday, March 19th. Usually, it’s March 20 or 21, but because it’s a leap year and February gets an extra day, the season moves up a little on the calendar. Spring has sprung and with it comes more daylight, nicer weather, and you guessed it – spring cleaning. Just like we organize and declutter our physical space, we can do the same for our minds. As we transition from winter to spring, there are some crucial but simple changes you can make to refresh your wellness routines. Keep reading to learn ways you can pay some extra attention to your health and set yourself up for a fresh start in the new season.

Here are a few things you can do, to get prepared for the spring.

Change up your workout routine: Indeed, as the weather gets warmer, it’s a perfect time to switch up your exercise regimen. Outdoor activities like walking, jogging, or cycling can be invigorating in the springtime. Reconnecting with old sports or activities you enjoy is a fantastic way to inject some fun into your fitness routine.

Reset your sleeping patterns: With daylight saving time, adjusting your sleep schedule might be necessary. Adequate sleep is crucial for overall health and well-being, so making sure you’re getting enough rest is essential. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to feel refreshed and energized.

Check on your goals: Spring is an excellent time to revisit the goals you set at the beginning of the year. Reflect on your progress, celebrate your achievements, and consider any adjustments or tweaks needed to keep moving forward. It’s all about staying flexible and adaptable on your journey towards your aspirations.

Take care of your skin: As the seasons change, so do the needs of your skin. With more sun exposure, it’s essential to protect your skin by using sunscreen with SPF and reapplying as needed, especially if you’re spending time outdoors. Additionally, moisturizing and exfoliating can help keep your skin healthy and glowing during the transition to spring.

By incorporating these simple adjustments into your routine, you can embrace the energy and renewal that spring brings and set yourself up for a fresh start in the new season. Enjoy the warmer weather and the opportunities it brings for growth and rejuvenation!
